An October 2016 CNN article written by Michael Broyde offers an alternative suggestion to the debate over transgender bathrooms. Rather than having men’s, women’s, or gender neutral bathrooms, Broyde suggests installing private, single-person restrooms in all public areas. Not only would this benefit the LGBT community, but it would also create additional privacy for everyone. Bathroom experiences should be private, he says, regardless of gender identity. Private bathrooms provide a positive alternative for all members of the community.

After reading Broyde’s article, what do you think about the implementation of private restrooms in public spaces?
